Classy Bottleshare Details

We decided on Sunday September 8th from 4:00-7:00pm. RSVP only; bring a limited, rare, or vintage bottle to share with the group. This time we are going to invite 20 guests plus a few of our employees. Employee’s bottles will be judged with the same scrutiny as all of our guests. We are inclined to just have one big tasting group as opposed to two smaller groups. We ask that you bring two 12oz bottles of the same beer, one 22oz bottle or a 750ml bottle. (Extras are welcome, but not required) We remind you that this is a specialty bottle share, so don’t expect us to okay any old shelf beer. Please include your name, what bottle you plan to bring and if you prefer one big group or two smaller groups.

Maintenance and an Upgrade!

Hello Chuckleheads!  This is just a brief notice to let you know that our website might be down and/or a bit wonky on and off over the next few days as we try to change it into a more mobile-friendly format!  Basically we’re aiming to make the taplist and the food truck schedule be the first things you see when you look at the site on a mobile device, instead of having to scroll through all of our posts before you can see them.  So please bear with us, and hopefully the new website will be an improvement!

Coming up at Chuck’s

Hello Hop Shoppers,

This Wednesday July 24th from 6:00-9:00pm join us for another Good Cause Beer Tasting. This time we’ve invited our friends at the Washinton Community Alliance for Self-Help. C.A.S.H provides the hands-on education, in-depth support, and access to capital needed to launch and grow successful small enterprises. Greg Bye of Streetzeria was a member of their program. Now is our chance to give back to the organization that helped him become one of our favorite food vendors. We will also have Epic Brewing out of Salt Lake City, Utah. We’re featuring Hopulent IPA (Nitro), Spiral Jetty IPA, Capt’n Crompton’s Pale Ale and a TBD beer out of their Brainless series.

July 31st from 4:00-7:00pm We’ll be hosting a release party for Elysian’s Oddland Series #2. We should have some VIP guests from Elysian answering questions and passing out swag. We will be featuring 6 draft beers complete with flights of four 4oz pours. (Price/Beers TBD)

Oddland Spiced Pear Ale is brewed with pears, Northwest premium 2-row and German Cara-hell malts, bittered with German Northern Brewer and finished with Yakima Cascade and Czech Saaz hops.  Cumin and cardamom give it a heady and exotic touch, offsetting a drinkable and refreshing beer of 6.25% alcohol by volume.

We also just started an instagram @Chuckshopshop. Follow us and keep track of new bottles, special events and store happenings.

This Week at Chuck’s, June 24th-30th

Hello Hop Shoppers,

We are proud to announce that July 3rd we’ll be hosting a blind IPA tasting. For $4 you will get four 4oz pours of the mystery single IPAs. After we tally the votes we’ll announce the participants and rankings on our Facebook.

We just added 4 additional tables to our patio and in true Seattle fashion the forecast is for rain. We still have a ton of tasty summer beers in the shop though. These are a few of our favorites, but there are numerous others in the stock.
Big Sky Summer Honey
Burnside Lime Kolsch
10 Barrel Swill
Shiner Ruby Redbird
Fremont Summer Ale

This Week at Chuck’s, June 17th

Hello Hop Shoppers,

Tonight Chuck’s will be featured in Evening Magazine’s Battle of the Breweries on King 5. It’s a bracket contest that pits 16 Washington against each other. Tune in and vote for your favorite!

This Wednesday from 6:00-9:00pm we are hosting a bottle release party for Sierra Nevada and Boulevard’s first commercial collaboration. We will be pouring up flights of Sierra Nevada and Boulevard beers that will include a taste of Terra Incognita. Situated at opposite ends of the California Trail, pioneering breweries Sierra Nevada and Boulevard have embarked upon a journey into the unknown, to a land where adventures in brewing and flavor await. Terra Incognita is, fittingly, an earthy beer, celebrating the unique terroir of the two locations. Beginning with Sierra Nevada’s estate-grown pale malt, and combined with amber malt, wheat, and malted wheat, it is then assertively hopped with Bravo and Styrian Goldings, dry-hopped with East Kent Goldings, and finally barrel aged with Brettanomyces in Missouri oak.” The final flight price has yet to be determined.

After over a year of speculation Ballast Point is finally available in Washington. We currently have bottles of Big Eye IPA, Calico Copper Amber Ale, Ballast Point Pale Ale, Sea Monster Imperial Stout and Sculpin IPA. The Sculpin has been flying off the shelves!
