Howdy howdy hop shoppers!
The weather outside has finally shifted down to what seems like below zero, so we’re going to do our part to warm everybody up with a fun winter beer tasting this week. Also, don’t forget that December 18th, or next Tuesday for the layman reading, we’re having Santa Claus himself drop by between 4pm-7pm for photo taking session. Brings the kids!
And a quick note – we’re beginning a shift to include taxes in the prices of almost everything in the store. So don’t be surprised if you see a pint for 50 cents more or you notice that you are getting way fewer pennies; We aren’t raising prices, we’re just trying to put the ‘convenience’ back into our convenience store!
In other news:
- Winter Beerfest – Look no further than Chuck’s for your Winter Warming needs this Wednesday! Dark beers only and proud of it, we’ll be featuring a ton of malty beverages to help power you through the last minute Christmas shopping craziness. We’re still figuring out the details for flight prices, which depend on if we’re putting solely ‘Winter Warmer’ beers or including brews like Great Divide’s Belgian Yeti, but we’ll be sure to post an update today or tomorrow with the specifics. The pasta kings at Urban Nomad will be catering for the Wednesday night event with quinoa options for those wanting to eat a little healthy while you indulge!
- Justice Brewery – We are now proud to carry pretty much the whole line-up from recent Everett nano-brewery Justice Brewing! They’re White and Nerdy is a citrus and hoppy Northwest take on the Belgian Wit, brewed with Citra hops, Belgian yeast, and sweet orange peel. It recently won the 2012 Evergreen State Fair’s ‘Best in Show’, so you owe it to yourself to at least give it a shot if you are interested in the style. We hope to soon feature their beer on draught as well, so make sure to keep an eye out for it in the coming weeks.
Until next week!
