Happy Columbus Day Hop Shoppers, and welcome to another week of sunny weather!
Just a heads up to all you folks who grew up in the 80s, we should be adding a cocktail table arcade machine to the store within the next couple weeks. Games to expect: Defender, Joust, Ghosts and Goblins, and more! And it will only be 25 cents a pop, so if you have some young ones who just aren’t quite young enough to fool around with coloring books, this might be a good alternative. And as usual, on Mac & Manny’s Mondays, you’ll find the African Amber and Georgetown Pale ale on the cheap–$3 for a pint and $9 for a Growler fill.
So what’s up this week?
- Stick a Pike through Cancer! – Our friends from Pike Brewing will be by this Wednesday from 6pm until 8pm for a Good Cause Beer Tasting featuring another one of our friends, Jeff, from the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Jeff will be taking donations, which will in part go towards a program called ‘Team in Training’, which helps train youth and adults for marathons and where hopefully more money can be raised! Laura from Pike will be sampling out some of their strong and seasonal brews, including their Harlot’s Harvest Pumpkin ale so don’t miss out! We’ll also have a drawing for some cool swag for those who are charitable and donate. And if you look close enough, you might even spot a Finkel.
- Food Truck Musical Chairs – Don’t worry, our usual food trucks aren’t going anywhere. But a few will be out and about this week. Wednesday will still feature our favorite personal pizza man Greg Bye from Streetzeria, but our usual Crepe and Grilled Cheese maestros will not be able to make their typical times. Instead, we’ll be featuring geeky cuisine from the guys at Cheese Wizards on Thursday, and Indonesian grub from Santi’s Kitchen on Friday. The Jerk Station and Seattle Biscuit Co. will be here on the weekend. Make sure to try the ox-tail and the “Che”!
And that’s all folks!
